Course Schedule - Federal Acquisition and Contracting Cert Program
To pursue a professional certificate in Federal Acquisition and Contracting, the following is required:
• A formal application must be completed before or soon after beginning the course work.
• Completion of 84 hours of organized instruction, or 8.4 Continuing Education Units (CEUs). This consists of six courses meeting for two seven-hour sessions.*
• Courses must be completed within two years of entering the program to earn the certificate.
• Admission decisions are based on education, personal experience and employment history.
Participants who successfully fulfill all of the requirements for this non-credit program of study will earn the Certificate in Federal Acquisition and Contracting from the Center for Advanced Management Programs at the University of Houston-Clear Lake, School of Business.
* Attendance is required on both days

• FAC 307: Cost Estimating Systems and Truth-In-Negotiations (prerequisite FAC 301)
• FAC 302: Application of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) (prerequisite FAC 301)
