ONLINE CLASS! It had been stated that one of the greatest assets of a professional buyer and seller is to have a well-grounded background in the analysis and development of cost and price studies. Many people feel they have such a background until the need for such tools come to the table and skills are weak in understanding the power and various tools inside this specific field.

Areas include:

  • Understanding the difference in cost and price analysis

  • Creating these tools from an event into a company-wide program

  • Know which tool to use and when

  • Learning the five prerequisites for using price analysis

  • How a competitive bidding trap occurs and can make a good deal suddenly bad

  • Learning the various types of cost analysis within a buyer and seller's charge

  • Learning how to attack and unknown price/cost and not lose ground

  • The differences between price analysis and financial accounting

  • Places to find financial data to assist in your analysis

  • Utilizing an index and where to find for contracts with escalation,

  • Several case examples practicing price, cost and unknown applications.

    Who Should Attend:

    New buyers, sales representatives, sales managers, supply chain managers, department managers, warehouse supervisors, contract managers, operations managers and other general managers and supervisors.
  • Cancellation Policy -
    Student must attend both day 1 & 2 of class consecutively. Once student attends day 1 no refunds will be issued - no moving registration to another class offering. Student is not allowed to take 1 day of class and then another on another class offering.

    If student registers and has not attended day 1 of class - the registration can be moved to another offering if one is available.

    William Agee, Jr.

    William (Bill) Agee has been involved in purchasing and materials management at various levels for over thirty-years in government (federal and state), wholesale, retail, service, industrial and manufacturing. He has degrees in marketing and management and is also a Certified Production and Inventory Manager (CPIM), as well as a Six Sigma Black Belt. In addition to being a speaker for ISM, he has held both local and national offices within the organization, and has written several articles for leading purchasing and business publications. Bill has developed over 172 educational programs for organizations primarily focused in the areas of supply chain management (SCM), contracting and purchasing. He is the 2005 ISM winner of the Howard W. Cosgrove Award for outstanding contribution to the profession.
