Techniques to Reduce Price and Cost

It usually occurs annually, about budget season when senior level management come to purchasing and supply and supply chain to help bring the cost down. Usually the reason is quiet simple---you can! Other departments might brag about bringing the money into the business but they have to pay a cost in the form of salaries, benefits, additional costs, marketing and perks when you can have a direct bottom line affect.

This session will show you ways to have an impact throughout the year and not merely at certain times whereby you can assist in lowering the cost of goods, thereby being a strategic resource for your business. This session will seek to add tools and ways to impact the cost and price without sacrificing quality and customer perceived value.

Applications include:

  • " How to develop a successful cost reduction program,
  • " Five-step approach to employee involvement in a cost reduction program,
  • " Steps to reduce both cost of paperwork and time management through BPM
  • " Reducing inventory through VMI and Baby-k applications,
  • " Expected benefits to cost improvement techniques,
  • " Upgrading the quality assurance standard to the supply base,
  • " Value analysis and value engineering applications,
  • " Reducing cost through a maintenance program,
  • " Areas to analyze in cost control and prevention,
  •  " Cost reduction techniques in marketing,
  •  " Cost control and management in various areas
  • " A host of miscellaneous cost reduction techniques, plus
  • " Forms, checklist and ideas to take back to your company.
